I painted this scene from a photograph my son in law gave me on Christmas. This scene is of an old abandoned 17th century distillery that he came upon during his travels through Ireland. This particular spot was on the property of James Cleary, a gentleman farmer, with 80 head of dairy cows in Limerick, Ireland, county of Tipparary.

  1. what an absolutely beautiful painting. this is just as i remembered it. the weather was cold and damp and the farm was heated with peat bricks.--ken

  2. I love this painting...especially the road and red roofed shed...absolutely charming, yet stately.

  3. There are so many things I admire in this painting, but my favorite is the tree on the left. It has such a distinct personality.
